Oh the DRAMA!

Posted: 08/04/2011 in Uncategorized

Admit it! We PINOYS just love it, we uber love the Drama in Everything..  Ako, I hate it!

The advent of Reality TV show programs, and not just the “Talent Search” ones but even the ones that do not really search for talent but for some reason its former contestants become actors are not helpful at all. Like seriously, how many sob stories have you heard in all those competitions, even the talent search. Sometimes the talent is overpowered by the drama, it makes you ask – What’s the TV show all about again?

What is most irritating is that the tube is now filled unnecessary and un called for drama. Forgive the term but the “showbizness” of people have created fake heroes and so-called nobility, buried them into a grave they have dug for themselves and earned evil people sympathy they do not deserve.

1.
Take the case of Mr. Zubiri. It has been years that his seat in Senate has been questioned but it took him years to actually give it up – a year before the next election. Come on! That’s obviously electioneering already. But ofcourse, like most politicians, he wants to insult us even more by creating a BIG Fuss about it, telling his friends in the media about a speech he is to deliver, 24 hours before the delivery itself. The media is intrigued even though the point of the speech is already obvious. SUCESS! Free media coverage for an early election campaign.

Like a script from a Soap Opera

SCENE1:The Entrance.

Costume Requirements – Barong/Baronglike polo and a Sad Face.

Actor: Internalize, Serious&Sad Face

Movement: Approach the Media people, thank them – one by one if possible

AUDIO (Main Actor): “I will miss you. Thank You.”

SCENE 2: The Speech

Requirements: Bring in all family members – but just the Politically Connected ones and the pretty wives

Movement: Approach the podium in a steady but not too fast manner

Speech Content: Make it Tagalog and English. Start with the Tagalog to earn the masses (and Buwan ng Wika eh). Mention Bukidnon as often as you can. Say it Bukidnon, Bukidnon, Bukidnon – kahit di related basta isingit ang Bukidnon. List down all your achievements, relate it to the President. Sway them off the REAL ISSUE. It’s not about fraud, it’s all about a working Senator Resigning. Mention only as little about the election cheating as possible.

Delivery: Do long pauses. Fake a ‘breaking voice, as if you’ll cry’ – Drink water when you pause, to buy more sympathy

PUNYETA! After the first 2 minutes of my livestream buffering I was like – eh ano na ngayon? Magreresign ka ba o Mamamatay na? Masyado namang mahaba ang privilege speech. At masyadong madrama! FYI ha! Ni wala ako kahit isang LUHANG Nakitang tumulo mula sa iyong mga mata. Ang ARTE.

Your accomplishments and how you worked was never in question, it was Election Fraud – if you deserved that seat in the Senate? That was the question. Ang daming Arte! Bakit ARTISTA Ka ba? Yan kasi ang hirap eh, mga Artista nasa Gobyerno na – feeling tuloy ng mga Politiko at nasa Gobyerno pwede din sila magArti-Artistahan sa kadramahan.

In My Opinion – Kung di ka kasing galing ni JUDY ANN SANTOS or EUGENE DOMINGO, JERICHO ROSALES o PEN MEDINA – wag kang mag-iinarte at magprepretend na lumuluha. Hindi ka Artista!

2. The Swimming Car Guy – this one I quite pity. What happened after the incident I mean, how people ridicule him on social networking sites. So I’ll try to be KINDER to him.

But I really have to admit that A) That was really KATANGAHAN on his part and 2) He had to indulge himself in the DRAMA of the situation too. If he kept it on the down low and just admitted to his stupidity, it might have been a different case. You just can’t lash out your frustrations like that on national TV, especially if you are an “ordinary” citizen.

I mean, there was a reporter and a camera and it was one of the 2 biggest channels. He should’ve known it was going to come out on TV.  He could’ve just reacted once and just waved off the next set of questions. But oh no, he just had to React – react so suddenly at the face of such a stressful situation.

I’m so glad that personally, at situations of great stress like that – of which, let’s say the cause was partly my mistake, I normally am silent in the next 30minutes or so.

Why? Perhaps because I know that REAL life is so much more complicated than Soap Operas. There are more KONTRABIDAS in the world where I am the BIDA. Not just one whom I can probably kill off through a bus accident if it were a soap, but millions – including the JUDGER ones who are self-righteous and sometimes feel equally self-entitled to Mock, Belittle and Ridicule People they don’t even know. (like duh? Exag ang create a Hate Page. Why don’t you create a Hate Page for every Corrupt Public Official instead).

3. The VOICE therapy!

Like we care if you lose your voice? You can lose your life for crying out loud. Ok that is super mean, but the litte biatch has also been quite evil  – fuckin give us back our money. Whose money are you spending for all those hospitalization of yours and your husbands?

That neckbrace has been on for so long and now on a WheelChair. Does this woman honestly think she can earn sympathy from being in pain? Excuse me – we’ve been in deeper pain and we still are because of you. So don’t you pull on a DRAMATIC moment now that you do not exactly have the highest power. Magkamukha lang kayo ni Nora – pero hindi ka artista.

And besides – Ate Guy is back! So Magtigil ka sa kadramahan – lumabas ka ng hospital at harapin mo ang mga kaso mo. Bruha!

ANGRY ba ako? The biatch just hasn’t blogged in awhile, that’s all. And I really hate DRAMA. I don’t even like dramatic soap operas to begin with – pagdadrama pa kaya ng mga di naman dapat? grrr.
